Over the past 10 years, Dr. Fletcher has invested in real estate, both residential and commercial, and gained extensive knowledge about investing in the stock market and employer-related retirement options. Additionally, as an engineering and computing professor, Dr. Fletcher has incorporated financial literacy practices into her classroom assignments, mentoring sessions with students, and informal sessions with friends and family seeking financial knowledge to work their way out of debt, improve their investments and properly prepare for retirement.
In 2022, she founded m3i journey as an avenue to educate young adults and women as a pathway to provide holistic financial knowledge that could help change their lives' trajectory. m3i is an interactive, adaptive learning platform that incorporates a culturally relevant curriculum to help people navigate the mental, emotional, and general day-to-day decisions related to finances. The online learning platform is currently under development and expected to launch in late 2023.
